I've had this brand new bag for many years now, but it just sits in the cupboard because, although I like the brown crocheted material of the bag, I wasn't too crazy about its faux cadger trim on the handle. (I bought it for about $12.95 at the Navy Exchange). I found a cute belt from the thrift shop and so I ripped off the original handle and manus-sewed the chugalug. Voila! A brand new bag y'all won't observe anywhere else!

Be careful . That was not my experience . They returned my bag and said it couldn't exist repaired. I was sent a twoscore% voucher .
Why would I spend money on another bag ? They don't ever repair their product . Distressing but true .

This is my favorite pocketbook gifted to me by a special person. I was riding a bicycle and put this bag on the handle. I don't know how, but it got a a pigsty and few scratches. My eye sank when I saw the hole. I am a college student. I can't afford to lose it or get it repaired in a professional store.
Kindly suggest a thrifty, cheapest, almost complimentary solution to repair it and reuse information technology. I don't mind doing information technology by myself. I just want it repaired and reusable. Delight assistance me.

I can't recall of any mode to repair that sort of damage. Is information technology a real leather purse, or synthetic? If information technology was more of a sporty bag, you lot might be able to glue a patch on it that might expect cute, but since this is such a dressy pocketbook, I call up you lot should check out a shoe repair place and see if they can set it for you.

The vinyl, circular handles on my handbag have cracked badly. As a temporary fix earlier I can observe another purse, I taped over the handles, then covered them with braided-type strips. I was able to conceal the first strip, simply non the end strip. Whatever ideas on how I tin can "cauterize" the end strip and then it doesn't unravel? I'm stumped and would appreciate suggestions from ThriftyFun friends! Cheers a bunch!

Thread the end of the strip through a large-eyed needle then run it down under the area where you wound information technology around the handle, then cut the strip.

The braid I used is way too wide to put through a large-eyed needle. I taped the cease of the braid so it wouldn't unravel, and so took a big-eyed needle and threaded it with heavy-duty thread to try to stitch the taped end of the braid to the slice next to it. I'm simply hoping to get some ideas of how to seal the end of the braid permanently then it doesn't unravel.

Hum I'm wondering if you could somehow outset over and cut the ends diagonally then bear upon them to an empty inverted heated tin can can bottom over a low flame, experimenting with a piece get-go to encounter how much time/heat it takes to cook/cauterize the material?
And then, perhaps, yous could glue the melted slant to the old material, tucking the very tips into the border where the old straps began? Not seeing what you are working with is hard to envision, but still some other thought might be to just brainstorm again all over and go with a smaller complect and tuck the braid back under itself every bit you brainstorm, gluing and clothespinning ane end until dry before

A local shoe repair service may exist able to supersede the letter as they have access to many resources for repair. Yous can as well contact the company directly for aid.

I only like shoulder purses. I bought some purses that I liked, but they have handles plus they came with a shoulder strap. I want to take the handles off and cut the shoulder strap in half and put each half in identify of the handles. I thought I could take them to a shoe repair, but I take found out they are nearly extinct.
Does someone know if at that place is a stapler that would get thru the double layer of leather or if you know what kind of gadget that was used in the picture? That would work if I knew what it was.

get to the miche site ..they sell the rings every bit well as the unlike straps ..
OR
check at goodwill for one of their bags and apply the parts ..
